Presence of GNEC along with Foreign Minister politico-economic delegation in Pakistan- March 2018

Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif travelled to Pakistan with an economic, commercial

and engineering delegation.

Davood Zavar, Deputy Managing Director of GNEC was one of the members of the delegation in this mission . To facilitate and create the necessary fields in the direction of the expansion of bilateral economic and trade relations, negotiations on the Export Pipeline, (IPI) to Pakistan and India , cooperation in electricity supply of Pakistan, expansion of local distribution networks and solving banking problem were the main goals of the discussions.

Mr.Zarif, at inauguration ceremony of Iran-Pakistan business forum in Islamabad by announcing the above mentioned goals, stressed that Iran has been fully engaged in the negotiations and is looking forward to a positive response from Pakistani friends.

The Foreign Minister invited Pakistan to participate in the china- Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). He also invited Pakistan to participate in the Chahbahar project.

On the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the establishment of relations between Iran and Pakistan ,a ceremony to celebrate was held and a cake was cut by the Foreign Ministers.
