Design of new systems or improvement of existing networks are done by providing optimum operation plans, load shedding plans, protection schemes and load flow studies, short circuit calculations and dynamic stability calculation of the system. Activities of this group comprises many studies, including studies to determine power plant location and optimum size, preparation of transmission network master plans, determining capacity and location of substations, voltage level and capacity of lines, studies for reduction of short circuit levels, switching and dynamic studies, loss reduction of grid system and power market studies.
