Upon signing and exchange of contract between Ghods Niroo Engineering Company (GNEC) and Uganda Electricity Transmission Company Ltd. (UETCL), activities for this project has arrived a new phase. Kickoff meeting for the project will be held on September 1st, and will be attended by managing director of GNEC and project team, in UETCL headquarters in Kampala. This project which is due to finish within 30 months, includes 132 kV transmission line, 132 kV Substation and a great volume of domestic and urban distribution grid system. Besides the kickoff meeting, the local GNEC office will also be inaugurated in Kampala for GNEC engineering team activities.
